Cutting-over to Flickr.  Apologies in advance... Not very diligent at updating/maintaining my photostream these days.  Still - there are some fun pics of Dominic up here.

Central Park, great friends, and Christo & Jeanne-Claude's historic "Gates" set the stage for an exciting engagement to Anne Iasella, and an amazing weekend in the city.

As part of her masters thesis research on Pittsburgh Graffiti, Anne and I... ahem... "let ourselves in" to a condemned 100-year-old warehouse in Pittsburgh.  What we found inside was as engaging as any museum experience in recent memory.

Mobile & Distributed Technologies conference in Turin, Italy, preceded by a weekend in Florence and followed by a visit to IDII in Ivrea.  Traveled with Scott Evans from Seattle who was also presenting at the event.  While in Italy, I experienced a country-wide blackout,  slept in a castle once occupied by Napoleon, and fell in love with an Alfa Romeo.  Details within.

Chris & Gail Leps' annual Sounds of the 70s Party in LA.  Couldn't miss it - flew from NYC-LA-NYC for the day...really needed to get my funk on.  Great time.  As an added bonus, Colin Nissan (also from the NYC) happened to be in LA for a shoot, heard about the party, hit the vintage shop, and joined the festivities... in full garb.

NYC Blackout

The multi-state blackout of 2003.  Took some cool photos during my 100-block+ walk from NYU to my apartment at W. 108th.  It was crazy to see Times Square completely dark.

Grand Canyon Hike

The week before CES in Vegas, my athletic colleague Doug Blair suggested that we road-trip to some great nearby hiking.  Despite warnings from the park service, we decided to hike the Grand Canyon - rim to river, and back up... IN ONE DAY.  Note to self: when Doug suggests a "day hike", ask lots of questions.  Exhausting, but an absolutely incredible experience.
